The MyChron 4 basic includes a cylinder head temperature sensor, tachometer sensor to pick up engine RPM, and an IR beam sensor which, with an infrared beacon transmitter (sold seperately) provides lap/split time triggering.  The main unit has an attractive, easy to read backlit graphical display with multiple screens that allow you to recall and analyze all the recorded data.  HUGE data bank stores tracks and drivers allowing you to store and recall individual races with these tags.  A USB key (sold seperately) allows you to download the data anytime and facilitates firmware upgrades and further programming via PC.  Has "oval" and "road race" settings.  Road racers can enjoy a "1minute to start" countdown timer which automatically triggers the programmable "race countdown timer."  It even compares your lap times with remaining race time to visually indicate 3,2, and 1 lap remaining so you know when to make that last second sling-shot move to the finish.  On-screen wizard setup makes it all easy to set up for YOU.  Amber backlight.
