This is a bare block with a little extra material left on the cylinder head deck. The top of the piston will be approximately .030" to .040" from the gasket surface with the stock crank/rod/and piston combo at TDC. This is often referred to as the "in the hole" depth.

***does not have "Box Stock Project" etched in block or a blue tag but is the same casting.
