GX200 / 196cc Clone Speedway Billet Flywheel – ARC Racing 6689

Built for oval track and drag racing, the ARC Racing 6689 Speedway billet flywheel features an ultra low-drag fin design that reduces air drag while still moving enough air for proper engine cooling. Reducing flywheel drag allows more power to reach the rear wheels, especially at higher RPM where airflow resistance normally increases.

Designed specifically for Honda GX200 and 196cc clone racing engines, the ARC 6689 billet flywheel helps improve top-end performance and throttle response while maintaining reliable ignition performance. Its precision-machined billet construction provides the durability and balance required for demanding kart racing environments.

Important: This flywheel is designed for GX200 and clone-style crankshaft tapers. It is not compatible with Predator 212 engines (Gen 1 / Gen 2 / Gen 3) due to different crankshaft taper dimensions. This flywheel is also not designed to work with charging stator systems.

Timing & Coil Gap Notes

  • Recommended timing (AKRA/NKA unrestricted engines): 34–36°
  • Recommended timing (plate engines): 36–39°
  • Minimum recommended coil gap: .030"
  • Typical tested coil gaps: unrestricted .050–.060" / plate engines .065–.080"

Predator Ghost note: This flywheel works with the stock pull starter, however Predator Ghost applications require the DJ-1260 coil.

The ARC Racing 6689 billet flywheel fits Honda GX200 engines and most 196cc clone platforms including Ducar 196/212, Tillotson 196/225/228/236, WildCat 223, Predator Ghost 212, and Predator 224 Non-Hemi engines.

Will the 6689 flywheel fit a Predator 212?

No. Predator 212 engines use a different crankshaft taper, so the ARC 6689 flywheel will not fit Predator 212 Gen 1, Gen 2, or Gen 3 engines.

What timing is the flywheel set at?

The flywheel is preset at approximately 32° BTDC when installed with a standard stock key.

What torque should be used when installing the flywheel?

ARC Racing recommends tightening the flywheel nut to 65 ft/lbs.

Does the 6689 work with a stock ignition coil?

Yes. The ARC 6689 billet flywheel works with the OEM ignition coil and stock pull starter. Predator Ghost engines require the DJ-1260 coil.
